Clerocidin dimer (Compound 5) can be found in Oidiodendron truncatum and forms via equilibration with its monomer analogue; upon reduction with sodium borohydride, it generates the hexahydro clerocidin diastereomers PR 1389 and PR 1383 at a ratio of approximately 1:9[1].
