In Vitro

DNA Gyrase-IN-18 (0.03-64 μg/mL; 18-24 h) potently inhibits growth of Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 29213) with a MIC of 0.125 μg/mL after 18-24 h incubation at 37 °C[1].
DNA Gyrase-IN-18 (0.03-64 μg/mL; 7 days) potently inhibits growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MC 26230) with a MIC of 0.5 μg/mL after 7 days incubation at 37 °C[1].
DNA Gyrase-IN-18 (0.19-200 μg/mL; 24 h) shows low cytotoxicity against HepG2 cells with a CC50 of 103.6 μg/mL, yielding a high selectivity index of 828.8 for Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 29213)[1].
DNA Gyrase-IN-18 (0.25-128 μg/mL; 48 h) inhibits biofilm formation by Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 29213) with an MBIC50 of 0.309 μg/mL after 48 h static incubation at 37 °C[1].

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
