Description

DNA polymerase-IN-6 formic is an antiviral agent and a DNA polymerase inhibitor. DNA polymerase-IN-6 formic inhibits the replication of HCMV, HSV-1, HSV-2 and EBV. DNA polymerase-IN-6 formic exhibits low cytotoxicity in mammalian cells. DNA polymerase-IN-6 formic can be used in research related to viral infections[1].

In Vitro

DNA polymerase-IN-6 (compound 27) formic inhibits the replication of HCMV in MRC-5 cells with an EC50 value of 0.33 μM; additionally, it shows no cytotoxicity against MRC-5 cells at concentrations up to 40 μM[1].
DNA polymerase-IN-6 formic inhibits plaque formation of HCMV in HFF-1 cells, with an EC50 value of 0.21 μM[1].
DNA polymerase-IN-6 formic inhibits the HCMV Davis strain in MRC-5 cells with an EC50 of 0.20 μM, and shows no cytotoxicity against MRC-5 cells at concentrations up to 40 μM[1].
DNA polymerase-IN-6 formic inhibits the replication of HSV-1 in Vero cells with an EC50 of 1.9 μM, and shows no cytotoxicity against Vero cells at concentrations up to 40 μM[1].
DNA polymerase-IN-6 formic inhibits the replication of HSV-2 in Vero cells with an EC50 of 0.76 μM, and shows no cytotoxicity against Vero cells[1].
DNA polymerase-IN-6 formic inhibits EBV replication in B95-8 marmoset B cells, with an EC50 of 0.066 μM, a CC50 of 5.5 μM in B95-8 cells, and a selectivity index of 83[1].
