1. Protein Tyrosine Kinase/RTK
  2. Insulin Receptor
  3. Insulin icodec

Insulin icodec is an Insulin (HY-P0035) analog that strongly but reversibly binds to albumin. Insulin icodec has long plasma half-life. Insulin icodec modulates insulin receptor activity, controls blood glucose levels, reduces HbA1c levels, and binds reversibly to human serum albumin. Insulin icodec can be used for the research of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Description

Insulin icodec is an Insulin (HY-P0035) analog that strongly but reversibly binds to albumin. Insulin icodec has long plasma half-life. Insulin icodec modulates insulin receptor activity, controls blood glucose levels, reduces HbA1c levels, and binds reversibly to human serum albumin. Insulin icodec can be used for the research of type 2 diabetes mellitus[1][2].

In Vitro

Insulin icodec (48 h at 37°C) is stable in rat, monkey, and human plasma (retaining ≥89.76% after 48 h at 37°C) but showed reduced stability in mouse plasma (82.89% retention after 48 h at 37°C)[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Parmacokinetics
Species Dose Route Tmax Cmax AUC0-t T1/2
Rat[1] 2 nmol/Kg s.c. 6.5 h 69.9 ng/mL 2029 ng·h/mL 18.9 h
Dog[1] 2 nmol/Kg s.c. 6-24 h 79.1 ng/mL 6872 ng·h/mL 61.9 h
In Vivo

Insulin icodec (3-6 mg/kg; s.c.; once every 2 days; for 52 consecutive days) exerts a hypoglycemic effect, and reduces HbA1c levels by -7.96% (3 mg/kg) and -11.49% (6 mg/kg) relative to baseline in BKS-db/db mice with type 2 diabetes[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model: BKS-db/db mice (male, 5-6 weeks old, 30-40 g, T2DM db/db model)[1]
Dosage: 3 mg/kg; 6 mg/kg
Administration: s.c.; every two days; 52 days
Result: Showed similar blood glucose trend to TBE001-A-S033; reduced HbA1c levels by -7.96% (3 mg/kg) and -11.49% (6 mg/kg) relative to baseline.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
