IL-31R alpha protein binds to IgM heavy and light chains and helps IgM assembly and secretion. It can act as a molecular chaperone or an oxidoreductase, exhibiting low oxidoreductase activity. IL-31R alpha Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived IL-31R alpha protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Background

MZB1/PERP1 associates with immunoglobulin M (IgM) heavy and light chains, facilitating IgM assembly and secretion. It may function as a molecular chaperone or oxidoreductase, as it exhibits a low level of oxidoreductase activity. Additionally, isoform 2 may play a role in apoptosis regulation. MZB1/PERP1 contributes to the diversification of peripheral B-cell functions by modulating Ca(2+) stores, antibody secretion, and integrin activation. Furthermore, it acts as a hormone-regulated adipokine/pro-inflammatory cytokine implicated in chronic inflammation, affecting cellular expansion and attenuating insulin response in adipocytes, potentially playing a role in the onset of insulin resistance.
