    Beta-lactamase Antibiotic Bacterial Infection
Nitrocefin is a highly activated, chromogenic cephalosporin derivative. Nitrocefin is a chromogenic β-lactamase substrate. Nitrocefin undergoes a distinctive color change from yellow to red as the amide bond in the β-lactam ring is hydrolyzed by β-lactamase. Nitrocefin is used in competitive inhibition studies in developmental work on β-lactamase-resistant antibiotics .

    Beta-lactamase Reference Standards Antibiotic Infection
Nitrocefin (Standard) is the analytical standard of Nitrocefin. This product is intended for research and analytical applications. Nitrocefin is a chromogenic β-lactamase substrate that undergoes a distinctive color change from yellow to red as the amide bond in the β-lactam ring is hydrolyzed by β-lactamase. Nitrocefin is used in competitive inhibition studies in developmental work on β-lactamase-resistant antibiotics .

  • HY-162094

    Acyltransferase Bacterial Infection
CMX410 is an orally active and selective Mycobacterium tuberculosis Pks13 acyltransferase domain inhibitor and anti-bacterial agent. CMX410 reacts with the catalytic serine of the Pks13-AT domain to form a stable β-lactam ring, disables the enzyme’s active site, reduces trehalose monomycolate and trehalose dimycolate levels, triggers cell lysis, and reduces intracellular bacterial burden. CMX410 can be used for the research of tuberculosis .

    Antibiotic Infection
Isosulfazecin (iSZ) is a novel β-lactam antibiotic produced by Pseudomonas acidophilus sp., synthesized in a nutrient solution supplemented with glycerol and sodium thiosulfate under aerobic conditions in parallel with bacterial growth. It is purified by chromatography and crystallization from aqueous methanol. Physicochemical analysis determined its molecular formula to be C12H20N4O9S, showing a structure with a β-lactam ring, methoxyl and sulfonate groups. Acid hydrolysis yields L-alanine and D-glutamic acid. iSZ is a diastereomer of sulfadiazine and exhibits moderate activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, but potent activity against bacteria resistant to β-lactam antibiotics .

    Ampicillin impurity D

    Drug Metabolite Infection
Ampicilloic acid (Ampicillin impurity D) is a hydrolytic metabolite of the penicillin antibiotic Ampicillin (HY-B0522), produced by Alcanivorax sp. via β-lactamase-mediated β-lactam ring opening reaction .
    Ampicilloic acid
  • HY-P2998A

    Beta-lactamase Infection
β-Lactamase, Pseudomonas aeruginosa (EC 3.5.2.6) inactivates β-lactam antibiotics by breaking open the β-lactam ring.
