PSP–NH2 was incubated with DOTA–NHS–ester for 1 h and conjugated with mPEG–NHS. Then, the particles were mixed with 64Cu (OAc)2 at 50 ℃ for 1 h to obtain the 64Cu-labelled PSP. PSP@Ab@PEG exhibited increased blood circulation in BALB/c mice with blood clearance half-life periods found to be 12 min.

PSP–NH2 was incubated with DOTA–NHS–ester for 1 h and conjugated with mPEG–NHS. Then, the particles were mixed with 64Cu (OAc)2 at 50 ℃ for 1 h to obtain the 64Cu-labelled PSP. More PSP–NH2 accumulated in the liver site while a lot more PSP@Ab@PEG accumulated in the spleen.
