α-D-Glucose 1,6-bisphosphate tetrapotassium
Based on 1 Customer Validation
α-D-Glucose 1,6-bisphosphate tetrapotassium is an activator of PMM2 and phosphoglucomutase. α-D-Glucose 1,6-bisphosphate tetrapotassium regulates glycogen metabolism, glycolysis, amino sugar synthesis, as well as the formation of bacterial cell walls and capsules. α-D-Glucose 1,6-bisphosphate tetrapotassium can be used in studies related to pmm2-cdg (cdg-1a or Jaeken syndrome).

Biological Activity
α-D-Glucose 1,6-bisphosphate (1-100 μM) tetrapotassium potently activates the Sll0726 phosphoglucomutase from Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803, achieving a maximum 5-fold activation effect at concentrations ranging from 30 to 60 μM[1].
α-D-Glucose 1,6-bisphosphate (2-50 μM) tetrapotassium acts as a high-affinity substrate for Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 Slr1334 to participate in the reverse reaction and generate Frc-1,6-BP, with a Km < 0.002 mM and a catalytic efficiency > 600,000 M-1s-1[1].
α-D-Glucose 1,6-bisphosphate (27 µM) tetrapotassium activates wild-type PMM2 activity, thereby promoting the efficient conversion of α-D-glucose-1-phosphate to glucose-6-phosphate[2].
