Definition:

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is the most common adult leukemia. It is characterized by the clonal expansion of CD5+ mature B cells in the blood, bone marrow, and lymphoid tissues. CLL is a B cell malignancy characterized by accumulating mature clonal CD5-expressing B cells.
