Definition:

Complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC) is the cytotoxic effect of complement, which activates the classical complement pathway by binding specific antibodies (IgG and IgM) to the corresponding antigens on the cell membrane surface, and the membrane attack complex (MAC) formed will exert lytic effect on the target cells (cancer cells).
