Definition:
SBC-3 is a human cancer cell line derived from Bone marrow and associated with Lung small cell carcinoma and Small cell lung cancer. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. SBC-3 is used as an in vitro model of Lung small cell carcinoma and Small cell lung cancer to investigate apoptosis, autophagy, cell-cycle control, mitochondrial function, and cytotoxicity.
