Definition:

SK-BR-3 is a human cancer cell line derived from Pleural effusion and associated with Breast adenocarcinoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. SK-BR-3 is used as an in vitro model of Breast adenocarcinoma to investigate HER2 signaling, apoptosis, cell proliferation, cell migration, cell invasion, and cell-cycle control.
