SK-OV-3 is a human cancer cell line derived from Ascites and associated with Ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. SK-OV-3 is used as an in vitro model of Ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma to investigate cytotoxicity and viral infection.
