Ladirubicin exhibits DNA intercalation and DNA alkylating properties, inhibits DNA replication and transcription, causes DNA damage, and thereby exhibits antitumor efficacy. Ladirubicin exhibits the potential to penetrate the blood-brain barrier (BBB) for its high lipophilicity. Ladirubicin exhibits toxicity through suppression of bone marrow activity[1].
