Biological Activity: hCAI/II-IN-9 is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor with inhibitory activity against human carbonic anhydrase isoforms I, II, IX, and XII. The inhibition constants (Ki) of hCAI/II-IN-9 for hCA I are in the range of 7.9-894 nM, for hCA II are in the range of 7.5-1645 nM, for hCA IX are in the range of 5.0-240 nM, and for hCA XII are in the range of 0.47-2.83 nM. hCAI/II-IN-9 may have potential applications in inhibiting a variety of pathologies involving these carbonic anhydrase isoforms[1].
