Collagenase (Type B, animal free) can digest mouse aorta, myocardium, human umbilical cord, and human liver tissue to isolate primary leukocytes, adult mouse cardiomyocytes, human mesenchymal stem cells, and individual hepatocytes. Collagenase (Type B, animal free) can be used in studies related to liver cirrhosis.

Collagenase (Type B, animal free) (1 mg/mL; 12 h) isolates human umbilical cord MSCs that are expandable in serum-based medium[1].
Collagenase (Type B, animal free) efficiently isolates human umbilical cord MSCs that retain expandability, MSC surface marker expression, and trilineage differentiation potential in NBVbe medium[1].
Collagenase (Type B, animal free) (2 mg/mL) is the optimal concentration for isolating human umbilical cord MSCs that are expandable in NBVbe medium, yielding the highest cell number by 30 days post-isolation[1].
Collagenase (Type B, animal free) (2.93 mg/mL; 30 min) efficiently dissociates fresh non-ischaemic human liver tissue into a single-cell suspension suitable for scRNA-seq and flow cytometry[2].
