L-β-Imidazolelactic acid
Based on 1 Customer Validation
L-β-Imidazolelactic acid is an inhibitor of Cholinesterase and Monoamine oxidase, and also the final metabolite of L-Histidine (HY-N0832). L-β-Imidazolelactic acid increases the activity of Superoxide dismutase. L-β-Imidazolelactic acid is applicable to research related to liver cirrhosis and histidinemia.

Biological Activity
L-β-Imidazolelactic acid (0.1-10 mM; 1 h for oxidative stress measurements; 1-10 mM for enzyme assays) exhibits concentration-dependent effects in ex vivo cerebral cortex homogenates from 30-day-old Wistar rats: it stimulates oxidative stress (increased chemiluminescence) at 0.5 and 1 mM, exerts antioxidant effects (decreased chemiluminescence, decreased TBA-RS, increased SOD activity) at 5 and 10 mM, and does not alter TRAP, CAT, or GSH-Px activity at any tested concentration[2].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
