Antibiofilm agent-20 is an orally active Escherichia coli biofilm inhibitor (IC50 = 5.5 μg/mL) and show low antibacterial activity (MIC >128 μg/mL). Antibiofilm agent-20 exhibits high lipophilicity and low solubility, resulting in low colon delivery rate. Antibiofilm agent-20 demonstrates anti-inflammatory and reduces IL-17 and TNF-α levels. Antibiofilm agent-20 can be used for the research of inflammatory bowel disease.

Biological Activity
Antibiofilm agent-20 (Compound 1) potently inhibits in vitro Escherichia coli biofilm formation with an IC50 of 5.5 μg/mL and MIC >128 μg/mL[1].
Antibiofilm agent-20 has high membrane permeability, measuring 10.3 × 10-6 cm/s at pH 5.5 and 17.4 × 10-6 cm/s at pH 7.4 in a PAMPA assay[1].
Antibiofilm agent-20 (0.5 mg/mL; 30 min) has no metabolic stability in mouse liver microsomes, with 0% of the compound remaining after 30 min of incubation at 0.5 mg/mL protein concentration[1].
