Biological Activity
Carbonic anhydrase-IN-38 (compound 5c) (15 min) inhibits recombinant human hCA I, II, VA, VII, IX, and XII with Ki values of 26300 nM, 3700 nM, 5949 nM, 576.2 nM, 41.3 nM, and 86.9 nM, respectively, and shows no measurable inhibition of hCA IV[1].
Carbonic anhydrase-IN-38 (72 h; hypoxic conditions) potently inhibits the proliferation of hypoxic human MDA-MB-231 triple-negative breast cancer cells with an IC50 of 2.4 μM and hypoxic human U87MG glioblastoma cells with an IC50 of 3.6 μM[1].
