Biological Activity: MAO-A-IN-5 is a selective human monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A) inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.250 μM against MAO-A. MAO-A-IN-5 competitively inhibits the activity of MAO enzymes, blocks the metabolism of neurotransmitter amines, and may reduce hydrogen peroxide produced by MAO-catalyzed cycles. MAO-A-IN-5 can be used in the research of depression[1].
