Dextran T1 (Dextran 1; Dextran D1) (with a molecular weight of 1,000) is a dehydrated glucose polymer with an average molecular weight of 1,000. Dextran T1 (MW 1,000) has excellent biodegradability and biocompatibility, and can be used as a nanobody carrier scaffold and a freeze-drying protectant. Dextran T1 (MW 1,000) promotes the retention of circulating tumor cells in the capillary bed.

Biological Activity
Dextran T1 (MW 1,000) exhibits protective effects during the freeze-drying process of Aviscumine (a recombinant protein). At a concentration of 8%, it can form a completely amorphous freeze-dried cake, thereby avoiding the damage to the protein caused by the phase separation of crystals[1].
Dextran T1 (MW 1,000) can be used as a scaffold to construct a nanobody-drug conjugate (NBBC-Dex1-PS). The NBBC-Dex1-PS can penetrate into the interior of the tumor sphere, and its penetration behavior is similar to that of the conjugates using larger molecular weight Dextran (5k, 10k)[2].
