Biological Activity
Purified Siliceous Earth, for injection (diatomite granules) is mainly used as a filter aid or drug carrier for the preparation of injections. Purified Siliceous Earth, for injection forms a filtration layer to trap tiny impurities, bacteria or precipitates in the liquid medicine, thereby improving the clarity of the liquid medicine. Note that after the liquid medicine passes through it, the final injection product should contain no diatomite granules. If diatomite remains in the injection, it can cause severe microembolism or granulomatous reactions[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
