CDCP1 Protein, Human (312a.a, HEK293, His)

CDCP1 protein may be involved in cell adhesion and extracellular matrix association. Phosphorylation of CDCP1 may regulate the balance between anchorage and migration, proliferation, and differentiation. CDCP1 Protein, Human (312a.a, HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived CDCP1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Biological Activity

Description

CDCP1 protein may be involved in cell adhesion and extracellular matrix association. Phosphorylation of CDCP1 may regulate the balance between anchorage and migration, proliferation, and differentiation. CDCP1 Protein, Human (312a.a, HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived CDCP1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Background

CDCP1 protein is potentially involved in cell adhesion and the association with the extracellular matrix. Its phosphorylation may play a role in regulating the balance between anchorage and migration, as well as proliferation and differentiation. Additionally, CDCP1 has shown promise as a novel marker for leukemia diagnosis and for identifying immature hematopoietic stem cell subsets. It belongs to the tetraspanin web, which is implicated in tumor progression and metastasis. CDCP1 interacts with several proteins including CDH2/N-cadherin, CDH3/P-cadherin, SDC1/syndecan-1, SDC4/syndecan-4, the serine protease ST14/MT-SP1, as well as SRC and PRKCG/protein kinase C gamma, suggesting its involvement in various cellular processes and signaling pathways.

Reconstitution

It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL in ddH2O. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose).

Storage & Stability

Stored at -20°C for 2 years from date of receipt. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.

Shipping

Room temperature in continental US; may vary elsewhere.
