Biological Activity
HSCB Protein, Human (His, Strep) is the recombinant human-derived HSCB, expressed by E. coli , with Strep, His labeled tag. ,
HSCB acts as a co-chaperone in mitochondrial iron-sulfur cluster assembly, facilitating the incorporation of iron-sulfur clusters into SDHB, the iron-sulfur protein subunit of succinate dehydrogenase involved in mitochondrial complex II. It is recruited to SDHB via interaction with SDHAF1, which first binds SDHB and then recruits the iron-sulfur transfer complex (composed of HSC20, HSPA9, and ISCU) through direct binding to HSC20. HSCB also plays an essential role in hematopoiesis (by similar).
