Spermine is a natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. Spermine is known to inhibit some bacterial cultures, especially strains of Staphylococcus aureus. Spermine induces neurotoxicity in the striarum dose-dependently. Spermine can reversibly inhibits DNA synthetic response, mixed lymphocyte response and the induction of cytolytic lymphocyte response in primary cultures of murine spleen cells. Spermine tetrahydrochloride is a polyamine nitric oxide donor that can provide nitric oxide to platelets and inhibit platelet activation to a certain extent concentration-dependently. Spermine tetrahydrochloride occurs in mammalian tissues, plants, bacteria, ribosomes and bacteriophage. Spermine tetrahydrochloride inhibits primary human embryo lung fibroblasts in vitro .

Streptomycin (Agrept) is an effective antibiotic against M. tuberculosis, is used for the research of tuberculosis (TB). Streptomycin also is a bacteriocidal agent that can be used for the research of a number of bacterial infections. Streptomycin can bind strongly to nucleic acids, interferes and blocks protein synthesis while permitting continued RNA and DNA synthesis. Streptomycin, as a common antibiotic used in culture media, also is a blocker of stretch-activated and mechanosensitive ion channels in neurons and cardiac myocytes .

Tryptone is a peptide-rich bacterial culture medium component that can regulate bacterial cell surface proteins and biofilm-related genes. Tryptone promotes the expression and assembly of bacterial adhesion proteins (such as LapA and LapF) by providing peptide substances as structural factors, enhancing cell surface hydrophobicity and intercellular adhesion, thereby stabilizing the biofilm matrix and supporting the maturation and maintenance of bacterial biofilms. The peptide mixture contained in Tryptone can specifically regulate the transcription of bacterial adhesion-related genes (such as activating LapA and inhibiting LapF), affecting the synthesis and localization of biofilm structural proteins .

MTT Formazan is a purple water-insoluble product formed by the reduction of yellow soluble MTT by succinate dehydrogenase in the mitochondria of viable cells. The amount of MTT Formazan produced is proportional to cellular metabolic activity, and it can serve as an indicator for evaluating cell viability and proliferation. MTT Formazan exhibits solvent-dependent solubility properties, and its absorbance value can be measured by spectrophotometry to reflect cellular status. MTT Formazan also supports the assessment of cell viability in bacterial MTT assays. MTT Formazan can be used in photoacoustic microscopy to enhance the imaging effect of viable cells, especially in applications in the fields of three-dimensional cell culture and tissue engineering .

|
DEAE-dextran, MW 500000 hydrochloride (DEAE-dextran, MW 500000 hydrochloride, from bacterial (Leuconostoc mesenteroides)) is a high-molecular-weight positively charged polymer that significantly enhances the uptake of viral RNA by tissue culture cells. When employed in the delivery system for "tumor immunity" RNA-splenocyte transfer, DEAE-dextran can markedly extend the lifespan of tumor-bearing animals, comparable to that of actively immunized animals. Furthermore, DEAE-dextran serves as a complexing agent for nucleic acids, forming composite particles with DNA/RNA for extensive applications in gene delivery. Additionally, DEAE-dextran can be utilized as a coating for liposomes .

Lysine hydroxamate is an amino acid hydroxamate that inhibits the growth of Escherichia coli K-12. Of the other amino acid hydroxamates tested, only L-lysine hydroxamate reduced the growth rate. The inhibition of growth by L-serine hydroxamate could be rapidly reversed by adding L-serine to the bacterial culture or by removing the analog by filtration. This reversal was specific for L-serine. L-alanine, glycine, or adenine had no effect on the inhibited culture. There was no evidence for active transport of the analog.

Deoxyenterocin is a bacterial metabolite originally isolated from Streptomyces that has diverse biological activities, including antibiotic, antiviral, and antioxidant properties. It inhibits the growth of S. lutea, S. aureus, K. pneumoniae, and V. percolans in vitro when used at a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Deoxyenterocin (50 μg/mL) inhibits the cytopathic effect of influenza A H1N1 virus by 60.6% in vitro. It also prevents hydrogen peroxide-induced decreases in glutathione (GSH) levels and in the mitochondrial membrane potential in mouse primary cortical neuronal cultures when used at a concentration of 1 μM.

Biochemical Assay Reagents
|
|

Doxycycline hydrochloride GMP is Doxycycline (hydrochloride) (HY-N0565A) produced by using GMP guidelines. GMP small molecules works appropriately as an auxiliary reagent for cell therapy manufacture. Doxycycline hydrochloride is an orally active highly lipophilic, tissue-permeable MMP inhibitor with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. Doxycycline hydrochloride is also a semi-synthetic antibiotic with chelating properties, which blocks bacterial protein synthesis and inhibits extracellular matrix degradation through interactions with zinc and calcium atoms. Doxycycline hydrochloride also inhibits mitochondrial biogenesis, translation, and the expression of respiratory chain proteins. Doxycycline hydrochloride induces apoptosis, inhibits autophagy and EMT, downregulates stem cell markers, and activates the PI3K-AKT pathway, thereby effectively inhibiting the viability and proliferation of cancer cells such as breast cancer cells. Doxycycline hydrochloride also promotes the survival and self-renewal of embryonic stem cells and neural stem cells, and reduces the frequency of medium changes in culture. Doxycycline hydrochloride has been applied in studies related to breast cancer, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and other cancers .
