Biological Activity
The structure of PEG-Hydrazide comprises two key parts that work synergistically:
Hydrazide: Participates in the condensation reaction of aldehydes/ketones, forming stable hydrazone bonds.
PEG chain: Acts as a hydrophilic spacer arm, forming a hydration layer on the particle surface, which can reduce non-specific adsorption and recognition and clearance by the immune system, prolonging the circulation time of the carrier in vivo.
