Bistrifluron is a benzoylphenylurea compound and orally active insecticide with activity against termites. At a concentration of 5,000 ppm, Bistrifluron acts as a bait toxicant against workers of the Formosan subterranean termite (Coptotermes formosanus), and also inhibits the grooming behavior of termites and impairs their motor ability prematurely.

Reached mean termite mortality of 1.4% at 1 week, 1.8% at 2 weeks, 6.8% at 3 weeks, 64.2% at 4 weeks, and 100.0% at 6, 9, and 12 weeks at 5,000 ppm, with mean disk consumption of 28.9 mg/100 termites and 144.7 μg AI ingested per 100 termites.
Reached mean termite mortality of 1.6% at 1 week, 40.4% at 2 weeks, 94.8% at 3 weeks, and 100.0% at 4, 6, 9, and 12 weeks at 50,000 ppm, with mean disk consumption of 12.3 mg/100 termites and 616.0 μg AI ingested per 100 termites.
