BC1 cell line

Definition:

BC1 cell line is a human B-cell-derived cancer cell line derived from Ascites and associated with Primary effusion lymphoma. BC1 cell line is immortalized or transformed by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). BC1 cell line is used as an in vitro model of Primary effusion lymphoma to investigate tumor-cell growth, cell survival, and pharmacological response.
