Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. BT-20 is used as an in vitro model of Invasive breast carcinoma of no special type to investigate cell proliferation, cell migration, gene-expression regulation, drug resistance, and viral infection.
