COS-7
Definition:
COS-7 is an African green monkey transformed cell line derived from Kidney. COS-7 is immortalized or transformed by Simian virus 40 (SV40). COS-7 is used to investigate endoplasmic-reticulum organization, receptor signaling and trafficking, membrane transport, and cholinesterase activity in a controlled cellular system.
