Definition:

Esophageal cancer (EC) is ranked as the seventh most common cancer worldwide.There are two major subtypes of EC, Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and Esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC). In China, the incidence of EC is particularly high.
