Definition:
GES1 is a human Epithelial cell of stomach transformed cell line derived from Fetal stomach, epithelium. GES1 is immortalized or transformed by Simian virus 40 (SV40). GES1 is used to investigate cellular phenotype, signal transduction, and pharmacological response in a controlled cellular system.
