H22
Definition:
H22 is a transplantable murine ascitic hepatoma cell line used to generate liver-tumor models in mice, with cells implanted subcutaneously or into the hind footpad to assess solid-tumor growth, lymph-node metastasis, angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, and host immune responses[1-3]. Experimental studies have used H22-bearing mice to evaluate antitumor interventions, including polysaccharides and oxyresveratrol, while monitoring tumor burden, survival, cytokines, immune-organ indices, vascular markers, and metastatic spread, and H22 cells have also been tested in vitro for proliferation responses[1-3]. PubMed records consistently support a murine hepatoma model, but the original tumor donor and establishment history were not resolved.
