Definition:

HEC-1-A is a human cancer cell line derived from Endometrium and associated with Type II endometrial adenocarcinoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. HEC-1-A is used as an in vitro model of Type II endometrial adenocarcinoma to investigate cell proliferation, cell invasion, receptor signaling and trafficking, and gene-expression regulation.
