HeLa S3 is a human cancer cell line derived from Uterus, cervix and associated with Human papillomavirus-related endocervical adenocarcinoma. HeLa S3 is immortalized or transformed by Human papillomavirus type 18 (HPV18). HeLa S3 is used as an in vitro model of Human papillomavirus-related endocervical adenocarcinoma to investigate tumor-cell growth, cell survival, and pharmacological response.
