HLE is a human Epithelial cell-derived cancer cell line derived from Liver and associated with Adult hepatocellular carcinoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. HLE is used as an in vitro model of Adult hepatocellular carcinoma to investigate oxidative stress and gene-expression regulation.
