Definition:
JVM-3 is a human transformed cell line derived from Peripheral blood and associated with B-cell prolymphocytic leukemia. JVM-3 is immortalized or transformed by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). JVM-3 is used as an in vitro model of B-cell prolymphocytic leukemia to investigate apoptosis and cell-cycle control.
