MDCK-II
Definition:
MDCK-II is a canine Epithelial cell of kidney spontaneously immortalized cell line derived from Kidney. Its spontaneous immortalization permits extended propagation while retaining lineage-associated properties. MDCK-II is used to investigate gene-expression regulation and epithelial barrier function in a controlled cellular system.
