MES-SA/Dx5

Definition:

MES-SA/Dx5 is a human cancer cell line derived from Uterus and associated with Uterine corpus sarcoma and Sarcoma of the corpus uteri. MES-SA/Dx5 is a resistant derivative of MES-SA selected against Adriamycin. MES-SA/Dx5 is used as an in vitro model of Uterine corpus sarcoma and Sarcoma of the corpus uteri to investigate apoptosis, cell-cycle control, drug resistance, and membrane transport.
