Definition:

MeWo is a human cancer cell line derived from Lymph node and associated with Cutaneous melanoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. MeWo is used as an in vitro model of Cutaneous melanoma to investigate MAPK signaling, ERK signaling, VEGF signaling, apoptosis, cell proliferation, and cell-cycle control.
