Definition:

MIN6 is a mouse Pancreatic beta cell transformed cell line derived from Pancreas, islets of Langerhans and associated with Mouse insulinoma. MIN6 is immortalized or transformed by Simian virus 40 (SV40). MIN6 is used as an in vitro model of Mouse insulinoma to investigate tumor-cell growth, cell survival, and pharmacological response.
