Definition:
MRC5 is a human Fibroblast of lung finite cell line derived from Fetal lung. MRC5 has a finite proliferative lifespan and retains primary-cell-like characteristics. MRC5 is used to investigate apoptosis, cytotoxicity, host-pathogen interactions, and viral infection in a controlled cellular system.
