Myotonic dystrophy

Definition:

Myotonic dystrophy is a rare progressive disorder that universally presents with weakness. It is the most common type of muscular dystrophy that begins in adulthood. There are two major forms: Myotonic dystrophy type I (DM1), and myotonic dystrophy type II (DM2).
