Definition:
NCI-H446 is a human cancer cell line derived from Pleural effusion and associated with Lung small cell carcinoma and Small cell lung cancer. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. NCI-H446 is used as an in vitro model of Lung small cell carcinoma and Small cell lung cancer to investigate apoptosis, cell proliferation, cell-cycle control, and cytotoxicity.
