Definition:
NEC8 is a human cancer cell line derived from Testis and associated with Testicular embryonal carcinoma and Non-central nervous system-localized embryonal carcinoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. NEC8 is used as an in vitro model of Testicular embryonal carcinoma and Non-central nervous system-localized embryonal carcinoma to investigate gene-expression regulation and cell differentiation.
