Definition:

Nicotinamide mononucleotide adenylyltransferase (NMNAT) is a member of the nucleotidyltransferase alpha/beta phosphodiesterase superfamily. NMNAT catalyzes the reaction NMN + ATP = NAD + PPi, representing the final step in the biosynthesis of NAD.
