Definition:

NRK-49F is a rat spontaneously immortalized cell line derived from Kidney. Its spontaneous immortalization permits extended propagation while retaining lineage-associated properties. NRK-49F is used to investigate Wnt signaling, TGF-β signaling, cell proliferation, cell differentiation, and viral infection in a controlled cellular system.
