Definition:

OS-RC-2 is a human cancer cell line derived from Kidney and associated with Clear cell renal cell carcinoma and Clear cell renal carcinoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. OS-RC-2 is used as an in vitro model of Clear cell renal cell carcinoma and Clear cell renal carcinoma to investigate apoptosis, cell proliferation, cell invasion, mitochondrial function, host-pathogen interactions, and viral infection.
