Definition:
PEO1 is a human cancer cell line derived from Ascites and associated with BRCA2 syndrome and Ovarian cystadenocarcinoma. Its continuous tumor-cell growth supports reproducible mechanistic and pharmacological experiments. PEO1 is used as an in vitro model of BRCA2 syndrome and Ovarian cystadenocarcinoma to investigate EGFR signaling, VEGF signaling, apoptosis, ferroptosis, cell-cycle control, and drug resistance.
