Sucrose preference test (SPT)
Definition:
Sucrose preference test (SPT) : The principle is that rodents have a strong natural desire for sweets, and when they are given two drinking devices containing sucrose solution or regular water, they will choose to drink sucrose solution. When rodents are depressed, they are not inclined to drink sucrose solution.
